Like many of you, I think it’s really important that our children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren know we were speaking out and fighting back during this particular flare-up of fascism in American history. But, as someone who used to live in a small town a good distance away from a metropolitan area, then lived abroad, I know it can be difficult to travel to a place where you can speak directly to the people committing some af the atrocities we read about in the news every day. Well, I want to help. I’ll be visiting the ICE facility here in my new home of Portland, Oregon as often as I can, and instead of just sharing one old cishet white guy’s opinion, I’d love to tell ICE what all of you want them to know.
